Lantz Falls

Fed from a spring higher up the hills, a river meanders along the property, feeding two waterfalls. The upper falls is a cascading falls, with many smaller bubbling rock pools. The river takes a sharp bend as it rushes towards the lower falls, dropping into the beautiful deep pool at its base. The sound of the falls is ever present, a constant meditation and reminder to stop and take notice.

Lantz Falls is at the heart of Solomon Brook Farm. It has powered two mills since the 1850's. One was used to make shingles and one was a flour mill. We have even found a few pieces of metal from the old mills; a testament to a different time. Now the falls, with its pristine beauty, is a place of tranquility, healing and rejuvenation. It is part of the sacred grove that is the forest. A place to tread softly, respectfully and with reverence. The falls can feel so different at different times. Sometimes it is a place of deep meditation. Other times, when the rains have come and the falls are overflowing,
the power of the rushing water is truly inspiring.
Often we can feel the presence of the fairies, and just have fun with a refreshing plunge in the pool.
Enjoy
