- Do you want to practice using tools in a safe environment with an experienced carpenter and have fun doing it?
This course will:
- Show you how to use the tools of carpentry properly, safely and successfully.
- Help you feel safe and comfortable around power tools.
- Give you the confidence to use them.
- Most of all, give you the chance to practice using them with someone to guide you through the process.

- Want to understand the basic structure of a roof and gain the practical skills needed to build it?
- Want to know how to use a rafter square and a carpenter's square to make rafters that fit right?
- Want to be able to design and build that backyard shed or office space you need, knowing you can build the roof and make it all work?
There is no prerequisite to take this workshop, but if you are just beginning to explore carpentry you are encouraged to sign up for the Introduction to the Carpenter's Tool Box workshop or the Basic Carpentry workshop before signing up for the Roof Framing Workshop.

This workshop is an in-depth exploration of framing, going much further than the Basic Carpentry Workshop.
There is no prerequisite to take this course, but if you are just beginning to explore carpentry, you are encouraged to sign up for the Introduction to the Carpenter's Tool Box workshop or the Basic Carpentry workshop before signing up for the 6 Day Framing Workshop.

- Learn how floors, walls and gable style roofs are built.
- Use basic tools of the trade to build them!
