Lloyd has been a carpenter and fine woodworker for over 30 years.
He wants to make his knowledge and experience available to you in an
easy and affordable way.

This course will
- empower you to get started doing simple woodworking projects!
- teach you basic woodworking skills and give you the chance to practice them.
- show you what you can do with simple tools.
- instill the knowledge and confidence to do it.
- guide you in making a simple box or bench that you get to take home with you!

Saturday July 12th 10 am - 4 pm
Sunday July 13th 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 26th 10 am - 4 pm
Sunday 27th 10 am - 4 pm
There will be a 1 hour break for lunch.
There are a number of places to get food for lunch
within a 10 minute drive from the farm or
you can bring your own lunch and
enjoy it at the farm.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made up to 14 days before the beginning of workshop will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the start of the workshop will receive a %50 refund
- There are no refunds for cancellations made after the start of the workshop. Depending on circumstances - a credit may be offered for future courses. This will be assessed on an individual basis.
Course Outline
Day 1 - Choose Your Project
Students will have a choice between building a simple box or a simple bench. Lloyd will provide the designs that students can choose from.
Time will be spent going over the design elements, including tools needed, making a cutting list, learning about wood movement, as well as demonstrating and practicing the basic types of joinery required..

Time will be spent going over the design elements, including tools needed, making a cutting list, learning about wood movement, as well as demonstrating and practicing the basic types of joinery required..
Day 2, 3 and 4 - Build Your Project
Having spent day 1 becoming familiar with the different elements of your project, including creating a tool list, a material and cutting list and understanding and practicing the basic joinery required for your project, the next 3 days will be spent building your small woodworking creation.
Students will have access to tools from the shop so no need to worry about purchasing tools. Students can bring whatever tools they have that are appropriate for their project if they would like.
Lloyd will continue to teach, guide and help you as you go through the process, making sure you get the most out of the experience, do it yourself, learn as much as you can and feel good about what you have accomplished!
