Food and Accommodation during Courses and Workshops
at Solomon Brook Farm
Food During Workshops
Meal plans are provided for residential workshops only.
For non residential workshops, kitchen facilities are available to store and prepare food and there are grocery stores in the nearby area. Preparing meals together can be a wonderful part of any workshop experience!
There are also a number of restaurants that we often go to during workshop events.
Solomon Brook Farm has an small organic garden, and neighbors who run a larger 1 acre organic market garden so if you would like to purchase fresh seasonal vegetables grown right here at the farm, please let us know. In order to guarantee availability and to allow us to harvest in an efficient and timely manner, please let us know at least two weeks ahead of your stay, if possible. We can then let you know what will most likely be available when you are here and for what prices.
We also get our eggs from a neighbor who has free run happy chickens! With luck we can also supply eggs from her chickens for those who would like to purchase eggs.

The Cabin:
The cabin is situated very near the farm house and overlooks the river, fields and forest. It is rustic in feel as we have plans to fully winterize it - but it is still a beautiful space and extremely comfortable. It is 800 square feet with a 16 foot high open cathedral ceiling built in the same style as the barn. It has a large main floor living, dining and kitchen area and a comfortable loft space accessible by ladder style stairs with queen size bed for sleeping. It can be rented out for a single person or couple but can also easily accommodate 4 people who are willing to share this open space concept.
Kitchen has fridge, stove and double sink but no running water. Water both for drinking and washing up is provided in jugs.
There is hot and cold running water in the room adjacent to the farm house (very near the cabin) as well as a shared bathroom with bathtub/shower, sink, and flush toilet.
Laundry facilities are located here as well.
Wifi is available in the cabin
$95 per night or $590 for a week (7 days)

Dorm Room:
We have one little suite with small kitchen and double bed (or possible 2 single beds), accessed from inside the barn. The barn is an inspiring cathedral like space and many who have stayed here have commented on how amazing the energy is!
